Another Baby!!

Congratulations to our friends Kyle and Kristen Pitt who welcomed Baby Abigail Michelle (Abbie) on Thursday, March 27th. Unlike Baby Zach, Baby Abbie did not want to make her appearance and was over a week late. Mom, Dad, & Baby are all doing well now. We can't wait to meet her!

Baby Zach is Here!

Lauren & Ryan welcomed Zachary Allen Rickels into their family today at 5:24 pm. He is 6lbs 6 oz and 19 1/2 inches long and is absolutely beautiful. Mom, Dad, and Baby are all doing great! Keep them in your thoughts as they celebrate this wonderful time in their lives!

A Baby Today!!!

Our friends Lauren & Ryan are expecting their first baby. His due date is not until April 10th, but I just talked to Lauren and because of her lab results they have decided to induce her today. So Baby Zach is going to be here today - YAY! Keep them in your thoughts! :)

My Present

Clay bought me a set of Paula Dean cookbooks yesterday just because. If anyone likes to cook a lot, I highly recommend them. They are wonderful and really easy to follow. Last night we tried them out with homemade mashed potatoes and chicken cordon bleu (this recipe isn't actually in the book, but I saw it on her show the other day so that totally counts). So yummy!

There is one small problem though. There is NOTHING healthy about southern cooking. Everything in them calls for at least 1 stick of butter and some even call for 4 1/2. So, if you're trying to be good, you may want to look for other options! :) But I figure, every once in a while isn't going to be so bad!

More Snow Pics

Here is what the snow looked like this morning. It's still snowing a little bit off and on, but I think its about done. Lexi wasn't sure what to think at first - I'm pretty sure she didn't like it - but afer one good run through it she decided it was fun. Needless to say, after she figured out she really liked it, the backyard wasn't very pretty anymore. :)

Because our grass is so long, it doesn't look like a lot, but we actually got almost 4 inches!

It's Snowing!!!

I'm so excited! It only took about 30 minutes for this to accumulate and it is supposed to continue through the night and into the morning. I love it!!!! I'll post more pictures in the morning (hopefully before all the children of the neighborhood get outside and it's still untouched and beautiful).

Tax Season

So I know that I planned on updating this thing a LOT more than I really have, but then again it is the dreaded tax season which means that I have absolutely no life at all so there's not much for me to blog about. Unfortunately, other than work, the only thing I really have time for is sleeping. I will definitely be a better blogger after April 15th - it's only about 5 weeks away! YAY! Until then, keep poor Clay in mind as he has to pretty much fend for himself until then (however, I'm pretty sure he secretly enjoys this time of year at least a little bit because I'm NEVER home so he just does whatever he wants). :)

Actually, we have started a kickball team and our first game will be Sunday, March 23rd (not sure of the time or place yet) - I am so EXCITED!!!
