5 Days of Fun

It's over and I have to go back to work tomorrow! Boo! I have definitely enjoyed my little vacation and I wish it wasn't over. I guess that's the way life goes though! I have been very productive as well. I painted the guest bathroom (which took WAY longer than I had anticipated and I will NEVER paint another bathroom again, but it did turn out great), got my hair cut, saw Tall Paul, had lunch with Lauren and Baby Zach at Ghengis Grill (mmm, yummy), played kickball (we lost badly again but had a great time - however, more injuries plagued the team this week with Stacy and Clay both getting quad injuries - min is still not fully healed either), went bowling with Brice, Julie, Stacy, Todd, and Mac, and learned how to mow the yard - and I did a fabulous job if I do say so myself (unfortunately there are no pictures to document this, but Clay will vouch for me). It was great. Below are some pictures from my little work hiatus.

Happy Tax Day To Me!!!!

Most people truly dread this day, but not me!!! It means I officially am done and I get to go back to having a normal life which includes weekends!!! I am so excited. I have 5 whole days off in a row - I haven't had more than one day off since the middle of January I think - and I am going to pack it so full of fabulous things! Painting the bathroom, getting a haircut, massage, and pedicure, going to lunch with Lauren and Baby Zach, seeing Tall Paul tomorrow night, playing kickball on Sunday (if I'm healed), and best of all - hanging out with my wonderful husband who has been so patient this tax season with my late nights and grumpy moments! I can't wait!

Speaking of kickball - we experienced our first win on Sunday and it was so much fun despite the fact that it was 45 degrees outside and raining and I got hurt on my second turn up to kick and I had to spend the rest of the game hobbling around with an ice pack. Oh well, stuff happens I guess. I did move the runner though! :) We definitely played MUCH better this time around and we're hoping it continues; however, if not I'll be happy just to go out and have a good time with great friends.

Speaking of great friends, Van surprised us all by coming in town this weekend from NYC as well. We hadn't seen him since Christmas and we had a great time as always. Whenever he comes in town we always end up spending time with lots of other people that we don't see very often as well. Van, we can't wait to come visit you next in New York! Below are pictures from our night out with Van.

Bathroom Inspiration

So I really HATE our guest bathroom, but the problem is that I don't know what I want to do with it! Any help as far as color scheme or theme or anything else would be greatly appreciated. I have done nothing to it since we moved in and I hate the color its currently painted (think spicy brown mustard). I would really LOVE to do this project next week when busy season is OVER (YAY)!!!

Tall Paul & Kickball

It has been a fabulous weekend!!!

Last night Tall Paul & Mylan Miller played in Nashville at Findley's in Opryland Hotel so Stacy, Steve & Ashley (Clay's cousin and his fiancee), Ashley & Will (Clay's sister & brother-in-law), and Clay & I went to watch them. We had a great time eventhough Paul made fun of our (or should I say my) table drumming abilities. :)
And today our kickball league started! We had our first game and we determined that none of us have played since middle school. We did end up loosing 14 to 3 but we had a great time doing it. If anyone's interested in being our cheerleaders, our next game is Sunday, 4/13 at 5pm at the Boys & Girls Club on Thompson Lane.
